Mystique & Aura started up in late 2009 after JMK and Steve H, regular commenters at the Yankee blog River Ave. Blues, decided to create a blog that mixed statistical analysis, rants, and satire. The name of the blog may or may not be related to Curt Schilling, strippers and bloody “socks”. You decide.

While Mystique and Aura primarily serves as an outlet to discuss Yankee happenings, we run the gamut (it’s a bite-sized gamut) of stories ranging from college basketball to the Olympics and all sports in between. Except hockey. Nobody watches hockey. It was an economics decision.
